Dedrological Park, Arboretum Silva – genuine, natural laboratory
Abstract
Arboretum Silva situated in the small town of Gurahont, Arad County contains a diversified collection of trees, shrubs and small shrubbery vegetation from different phytogeographical areas of the world. The favorable site placed in Zarand depression, where Gurahont is located, made possible the establishment of the Arboretum Silva collection. The conservation and diversification of the collection is a future goal sustained by the multiplication of species represented by one individual and by the acquisition of seeds of species not present at the moment in the collection. Following the arboretum administration contract signed by the Faculty of Environmental Protection, University of Oradea, the conservation and diversification of the woody species collection became a priority among other administration activities.Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
