Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study the consumer’s consumption particularities in Gherla, Romania, and to highlight the positive and negative aspects of nutrition as they are perceived by consumers. As data collection method was chosen with the social survey and questionnaire research tool. Based on information from questionnaires was carried out detailed database format that SPSS v.17 all for exploring the city. We may conclude that the consumer’s age, income and job are some factors that significantly influence eating behaviors. Also, although consumers are familiar with the risks associated with fast food products and sweets, these products still occupy a high percentage in their diet (61%), especially in the 18 - 35 age categories.
