Effect of IAA Addition on the Development of Root System of Hydrangea L. and Oxidative Enzymes

Abstract


The aim of the investigations was to show the effect of different doses of IAA on the development of the root system of Hydrangea L. and the activity of phenol oxidase, peroxidase and xanthine oxidase. The investigations showed significant increase of phenol oxidase and peroxidase activity with 200, 300 and 400 µg kg -1 addition of IAA after rooting of cutting of Hydrangea L. than before planting. The highest % of rooted of cuttings of this plant was obtained when 400 μg kg -1 of IAA was added to growing media. It was in line with assessment of root system and the length of roots.
