Effect of the hydroalcoholic extracts from plants on Colorado beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say.). Note II

Abstract


Twenty eight products, obtained from plant extracts, were used to fight against Colorado bug, on the terms of ecological agriculture. It was noticed that: 1. Vegetal extract may serve as an alternative to fighting against Colorado bug in potato cultivars, especially at those which are designated to obtain an ecological crop; 2. The best result in fighting against Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say. were obtained with extract from Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium Trev., Chrysanthemum balsamita var canfora and Ruta corsica, all in used concentration of 20%.The treatment efficiency against larvae of 99,01 %, 93,06 % and 96,83 %, efficiency which are comparable with those obtained with the help of synthesis insecticide; 3. The lowest result were obtained with extracts from Artemisia absinthium L., Taracxacum officinale L. and Tagetes erecta L., efficiency of 7,14 % and 72,22 %; 4. The extracts from Artemisia absinthium L., Taracxacum officinale L. and Tagetes erecta have repulsive effect for adults, these avoiding for punting on plants treated with these extracts.
