ARCHAEOZOOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS CARRIED OUT ON SAMPLES FROM THE DWELLINGS ON COTITA STREET IN CLUJ NAPOCA

Abstract


The present study presents briefly the results of an archaeozoological investigations carried out on archaeofaunal samples from diggings in Cluj Napoca, Cotita Street, as a result of the salvage investigations carried in this area by archaeologists from Babes-Bolyai University.
The site provided three sets of archaeofaunal samples, a large one dated from the Roman period and another two small samples dating from XI-XII and XVI-XVII centuries AD
