Iron Level and Antioxidant Status in Two-Week-Old Piglets

Abstract


The aim of this research was to find out the proper time of Fe supplementation (1st or 4th day oflife) and to assess the level of iron and antioxidant status of two-week-old piglets. Changes in Hb andRBC values show positive and varied tendency depending on the Fe supplementation day. Earliersupplementation caused an increase of serum antioxidant power.
