THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF POTASSIUM NITRATE, ZINC NITRATE AND SELENIUM ON THE CROSSBREED SILKWORM, (BOMBYX MORI L.)

Abstract


The larvae of fourth and fifth instar from two crossbreed Romanian hybrid AC29/T*J90 and Bulgarian hybrid Vratza66*Vratza63were fed whit leaves treated whit different concentration (100, 200 and 400 ppm) of potassium nitrate, zinc nitrate and selenium, twice on day.
The larvae weight, the silk gland weight and the cocoon weight and cocoon shell were determinated, using analithical balance.
