Developpement de la Competence Langagiere par l’intermediaire de l’Audio-Visuel au Niveau Trois

Abstract


Nowadays environment protection is a very important subject for human existence on our planet. Theoretically everybody knows what the risks of pesticides or the negative effects of scientific progress are. After working on two short texts, "The risks of pesticides" and "The world threatened by progress", another stage follows: the study of a video report, "Aral, the assassinated sea", the subject of which represents the present paper. The paper has a double purpose: on the one hand - to make the students realize the ecological disasters, which man can produce by his conscious or unconscious activities and the development of communication skills in French - on the other hand. In order to avoid improvising, it is useful to get students used to learn, to understand, and to participate. The use of video player within the foreign language courses offers the possibility of using an authentic image as a support of learning the language. This motivates the student because he gets closer to real life. The technique used gives the student the opportunity to express himself in the foreign language in a relaxed manner and enriches his information in the field studied. The choice of the topic should be accessible and interesting as a support for conversation, as well as our pedagogic aim for attaining our purpose.
