Abstract

The opportunity of irrigation on corn yield in Transylvanian Plain conditions. During some complex experiences organized in the Field of Transylvania conditions, between 2006-2008, it was followed the influence of many factors at the corn production. In the following paper are presented a part of the results regarding the influence of the irrigation regimen over the evolution of the crops, as well as some aspects regarding the crops’ water consumption in conditions of irrigation and without irrigation. The idea of the input and of the maintaining of irrigation, where it is possible, in the conditions of the Field of Transylvania, is a good one and the arguments accumulated in the three years of research, 2006-2008, are a confirmation of the anterior ones.
