Abstract

Alcohol abuse produces multiorgan changes. Alcohol effects on different organs differ from one person to another. These differences seem to be genetically determined. In the present study, we analyzed the spleen morphological lesions induced by chronic alcohol administration in Wistar rats. The most important spleen lesions were hemorrhage, hemosiderine deposits and fibrosis.
