Abstract

Porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2) is now recognised as the causal agent of postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) in pigs (Allan and Ellis, 2000; Kennedy et al., 2000; Bolin et al., 2001). In-situ hybridization is a valuable adjunct to standard DNA extraction techniques for evaluating gene expression in tissues and cells.
